King County launched the “Walking Bus” pilot program where county employees can join their colleagues and a Facilities Management Division (FMD) Security Escort each evening walking to the King Street Station and the Colman Dock from the downtown campus.
In this initial pilot phase, two dedicated security escorts will depart daily, Monday-Friday, from the King County Courthouse: one to the King Street Station and one to the Coleman Dock ferry terminal. Click here to for more information.

Deadline to donate time is this Friday for the Annual Giving Drive
Along with volunteering and giving money to agencies of your choice in the Annual Giving Program, you can also donate excess vacation and comp time. However, you must do so by this Friday, Nov. 19. To find out more about donating time, click here.

MLK Day committee seeks employee testimonials by Nov. 22

Every year the King County MLK Day committee chooses a theme that honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and that guides the tone of the event and the recognition.

King County V-MAG monthly meeting Nov. 17
The King County Veterans and Military Affinity Group (V-MAG) will hold their November meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at noon. This month’s meeting will feature a presentation by the King County Mentoring Program.
The program provides an opportunity for employees to build a beneficial and rewarding partnership with a trusted advisor who can help them with their professional growth and development goals. The meeting will be held on Teams and is open to all employees who are currently serving, or are former members of the military. Access to Content Manager (CM), the county’s state-of-the-art enterprise records management system, is now easier than ever and it’s just had an upgrade. Content Manager is available for all King County employees. It is an application installed on each user’s PC and requires network/VPN connection to access.
You can use Content Manager to:
- File emails
- File inactive electronic records
- Send boxes to offsite storage at the King County Records Center
