WASHINGTON (TND) — The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced they are creating a “Governance Board” to battle disinformation.

Details are scarce and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is being forced to defend the plan and react to those who compare it to George Orwell’s “Ministry of Truth” in the book “1984."

Critics have slammed the proposed head of the board as someone who has spread disinformation herself.
