Please join the Region 2 National Preparedness Division in partnership with Americares for a webinar on Trauma Informed Care. Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) understands and considers the pervasive nature of trauma and promotes environments of healing and recovery rather than practices and services that may inadvertently re-traumatize an individual.

A Trauma-Informed Care approach strives to understand the whole of an individual who is seeking services. When trauma occurs, it affects an individual's sense of self, their sense of others and their beliefs about the world. This webinar will discuss what Trauma-Informed Care is, the core principles, and how to apply TIC for the populations you serve.

FEMA works to ensure equitable access for all to any services and programs that are provided by the agency. If you need a reasonable accommodation, please make your request in an email to fema-r2-prepares@fema.dhs.gov. Last minute requests will be accepted, but may not be possible to fulfill.
