Social, behavioral and economic scientists are invited to participate in the National Science Foundation's new Regional Innovation Engines program. The program seeks to catalyze science and technology development across the U.S. that addresses societal challenges while fostering job creation and economic growth for regional workforces.
The Regional Innovation Engines program provides two types of funding: development awards of up to $1 million and larger awards of up to $160 million.
A series of informational webinars are taking place in May and June. Researchers, administrative staff and others in the social, behavioral and economic sciences are encouraged to participate in this major new NSF initiative.

The National Science Foundation is partnering with the Social Science Research Council (SSRC) to support research that advances scientific knowledge about public health guidance and its impact on the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
The partnership will leverage the unique capabilities of NSF and SSRC through their diverse connections to the research community and public health organizations.
