APPLY TO BE AN APPLICATION REVIEWER

Seeking members of the community with Lived Experience to review applications for the CFCI Care Grant Year 3 Funding Opportunities.  The CFCI Funding Opportunity is intended to benefit community-based organizations that provide direct services to underserved individuals and families and are led, at least in part, by Black, Brown, Indigenous, People of Color, Transition-Age Youth, Transgender, Gender Nonconforming, Intersex, LGBQA+, and People with Lived Experience (particularly reentry).  In order to review applications, it is important for reviewers to reflect community characteristics and have expertise about community-based organizations as well as populations that have been disproportionately affected by the criminal legal system.

Individuals selected to serve as reviewers must CURRENTLY RESIDE IN L.A. COUNTY and must NOT BE APPLYING FOR CFCI FUNDS.  Those selected will be notified as soon as possible, participate in mandatory training after selection, and review Year 3 CFCI Funding Opportunity applications starting on or after January 5, 2024.  Reviewers will process a maximum of 60 applications over two weeks and receive a minimum $500 stipend as compensation for their time.  The Year 3 CFCI Funding Opportunity Reviewer Application will close on December 15; there will be mandatory training the week of December 18.  Reviewers are required to attend training.
