Investigative documents related to fatal officer-involved shooting cases

The office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is committed to post-investigation transparency in all officer-involved critical incidents (OICI). This means public access to records after the investigating agency has completed its investigation – a process that forms the basis for any legal action stemming from the incident – and either a prosecutor or grand jury has decided not to indict the case, or the case is indicted and has been prosecuted in court.

This site archives case files from fatal officer-involved shooting incidents in which the Bureau of Criminal Investigation was the primary investigator and/or the Attorney General’s Special Prosecution Section presented the case to a grand jury.

Below are documents and other information for OICI cases that have been completed.

Note that any document redactions or video modifications were made to meet the requirements of Ohio’s Sunshine Laws.
