Join ODWC and OG&E staff for a FREE family fishing clinic at the OG&E Sooner Lake Power Plant inflow channel. This special opportunity will provide fishing on a part of the lake not accessible to the public. Free lunch will be served at 11. Basic fishing instruction will be given at 8 a.m. 

Fishing equipment, including rods and reels, will be provided for use at the event. Upon arriving at the front gate, participants will undergo a brief security check and then be escorted to the event parking area by OG&E staff. All fishing during the event is catch and release only. 

Fishing will focus on saugeye, hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, sunfish and carp. Additional species that may be caught are drum, white bass, blue catfish and channel catfish.

Must have a VALID EMAIL ADDRESS to register. 

All participants will receive a confirmation email with further instruction and a liability waiver 48-hours prior to the event. Please print and fill out the liability waiver and bring with you to the event. If you do not have access to a printer, hard copies will be available at the entrance gate day of event.
