Election Law Violations Hotline

Kentuckians who witness election irregularities or possible election law violations are encouraged to call 800-328-VOTE (800-328-8683).

The hotline is open during regular business hours and from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Eastern time) on Election Day.

Enforcement of Election Laws

KRS 15.243 gives the Attorney General jurisdiction to investigate and enforce election law violations by civil and criminal means. Reports made to the Election Law Violation Hotline are listed in the table on this page and will be updated throughout the day of the election.

In addition to the hotline, investigators from the Attorney General’s office may patrol precincts and polling places across the Commonwealth on Election Day in order to respond immediately to complaints. Attorney General Daniel Cameron is committed to upholding election laws and holding those who break them accountable.

* The Office of the Attorney General, by law, cannot provide details regarding specific complaints or pending investigations.
