The Minnesota State Arts Board takes its role as a strong steward of public funds very seriously. To increase its capacity to manage grant funds, it is adding two new grants administration positions.
The first position has been posted and the board is seeking applicants who have a background in program management, public or nonprofit management, accounting, or auditing to serve as a grants administration officer.
The person hired for this role will monitor grants, review and approve contract amendments, take action to resolve issues when a grantee is not meeting expectations, review final reports, and close out grants. Required qualifications include: a working knowledge of the principles and procedures of accounting and budgeting, ability to evaluate the effectiveness of project plans and implementation strategies, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Past experience in grants administration, program evaluation, or auditing are preferred qualifications.
This is a full-time, permanent position, combining telework and in office/on-site work.
