What are the advantages of electric vehicles?

Low maintenance, high performance

Electric vehicles don’t tend to require as much maintenance as traditional cars. This is because traditional vehicles have hundreds of moving parts, each of which can potentially develop a fault. However, an electric motor has less than 20. The quality of EVs has risen dramatically over recent years, and almost all major manufacturers are now building their own electric vehicles. Some electric cars can leap from 0 – 60 mph in under 3 seconds. EVs also tend to be more spacious than traditional cars because there is no large engine to accommodate. They also deliver a smooth drive and lower noise levels.

Environmentally Friendly

Electric powered vehicles can provide significant emissions benefits over conventional vehicles. While all-electric vehicles produce zero tailpipe emissions, emissions are created when generating electricity to charge a vehicle’s battery. Charging electric vehicles in Indiana produces less than half of the harmful emissions emitted by an equivalent gasoline powered vehicle. The emission advantages of electric vehicles will continue to increase as the electricity grid transitions to more renewables and environmentally friendly power sources. EV’s provide an ideal solution for consumers and fleets who are working to reduce their environmental impact and transportation costs.
