Weekend Travel Advisory

Hello from ADOT. No construction or maintenance closures are scheduled along state highways over the extended Independence Day weekend (July 3-8). Click the Weekend Travel Advisory Map for more information. Please focus on safety if you're behind the wheel as the summer travel season continues.

  • Get adequate rest before heading out on a road trip. Check your vehicle, including tire pressure and engine fluid levels.
  • Expect the Unexpected. Pack an emergency travel kit that includes extra drinking water and other items to keep you and your family comfortable in case of an unplanned stop in traffic.
  • Buckle up, don't speed and never drive while impaired. Use caution, keep your eyes on the road (avoid distractions) and be ready to slow down and merge safety when approaching and traveling through existing work zones. Click the Weekend Travel Advisory Map for more safety tips.
