Where is the ONIC Drug Summit located?

The 2024 ONIC Drug Summit venue location, the Ohio Union, is located on The Ohio State University campus, 1739 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio. Main entrances are accessible on the east and west side of the building.

Is the ONIC Drug Summit approved for Continuing Professional Training (CPT) credit hours?

ONIC is submitting presentations to OPOTC for CPT approval. We aim to notify all attendees prior to the summit which presentations have been approved by OPOTC and the total number of participants CPT hours. As of April 8, 2024, a total of 13 CPT hours have been approved.

Are there accommodations nearby?

The venue is located on The Ohio State University campus, 1739 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio. This location sits between State Route 315 and Interstate 71, which allows for ease of access and several hotel options within a 2 mile radius. There is no hotel block for this event.

Where can I park?

For garage and surface lot information please visit www.osu.campusparc.com. There are two parking garages directly north of the Ohio Union. The Ohio Union South Garage is located at 1759 North High Street, and the Gateway Garage is located at 75 E 11th Avenue.

Do I need to pay for parking?

Registered attendees will be provided with pre-paid parking vouchers during each day of the summit. Please seek out ONIC staff prior to leaving the event if assistance is needed.

Will food be provided?

Each day we will provide refreshments, morning snacks, and a boxed lunch. Boxed lunches will include a sandwich/wrap, side, dessert, and beverage. During registration, please indicate if you have a dietary restriction.

What can I expect from the networking event?

ONIC will host a networking event upon the conclusion of day 1, May 29th, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Please take this opportunity to network with other attendees, ONIC personnel, and our State of Ohio partners at their information booths. Stop by the dessert bar to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Can I register at the door or attend without registering prior to the ONIC Drug Summit?

ONIC kindly requests you register prior to the Drug Summit so we can account and accommodate for food, beverage, and parking of all attendees.

The Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center (ONIC) was established in 2019 when Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed Executive Order 2019-20D. the ONIC operates as part of the Ohio Department of Public Safety in four locations throughout the state.

The mission of the ONIC is to provide digital forensic and intelligence analysis support for drug task forces and law enforcement agencies in ohio, discover new trends and connections between targets and identify criminal networks and enterprises in drug crimes, and utilize state-of-the-art digital evidence recovery and extraction tools and powerful analytic software to provide intelligence-led support to investigations statewide.
