Service Contingency Plan

In January 2024, we released our Service Contingency Plan (PDF 832KB), which provides a transparent outline of how we plan to add service – sometimes temporarily – when we have the available vessels and crewing to do so. An overview of the plan can be found in our Executive Summary (PDF 116KB).

A replacement to our COVID-19 Service Restoration Plan (PDF 794KB) and that document's February 2023 Update (PDF 1MB), this plan also details how we intend to make service decisions during unplanned and/or emergency disruptions. It will guide us as we manage maintenance of an aging 21-boat fleet with schedules that currently require at least 15 vessels to be in operation.

Onboard food galleys

Our food vendor has resumed onboard galley service aboard some vessels on the following routes:

Anacortes/San Juan Islands

Vessel #1:

  • 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday
  • 5:30 a.m. to 10:15 p.m. Friday through Sunday

Vessel #2:

  • 7:45 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily

Vessel #3:

  • 6:20 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday
  • 6:20 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday through Monday

Edmonds/Kingston

Vessel #1:

  • 4:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • 7 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Saturday
  • 6:25 a.m. to 7:45 pm Sunday

Vessel #2:

  • 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth

Vessel #1:

  • 4:30 a.m. to 6:40 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • 9:20 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Vessel #2:

  • 5:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • 8:45 a.m. to 6:35 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Mukilteo/Clinton

Vessel #1:

  • 7:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday
  • 8:15 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Friday through Sunday

Vessel #2:

  • 7:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • 8:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Point Defiance/Tahlequah

Vessel #1:

  • 7:35 a.m. to 5:10 p.m. daily (limited menu items and credit card only)

Port Townsend/Coupeville

Vessel #1:

  • 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily

Seattle/Bainbridge

Vessel #1:

  • 4:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • 5:15 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Vessel #1 espresso stand (Tacoma only):

  • 3 to 9:30 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday
  • 4:45 to 9:45 p.m. Saturday
  • 1:20 to 9:45 p.m. Sunday

Additional openings are reliant on our food vendor being able to hire more staff and sales allowing for expansion.
