DSO & GSN TESTIMONIALS

"[This job] helped me have a family, pay the mortgage, and, you know, just the stability. Having a good job and knowing that I will have a job no matter how bad the economy gets. I think that's a big factor."

"It is a very, very rewarding career if you want it to be. You could make this one of the best experiences you’ll have. And then when you retire at the end, you could look back and know there were a lot of positives that came out of it... Someone once told me, ’If you can get through to one, it's worth it.'"

"If you want to make a difference in people's lives, not just kids, it's very rewarding. Once you get to know these people, they're just regular people. They made mistakes and they're learning from it and you're trying to guide them."

"The county has been good to us and has provided essentially almost everything that we have, plus benefits and retirement packages. On the other side of it, there are the experiences you get, like I've traveled because of the department and I've met great people that are family friends now."
