High temperatures will increase through Friday with most regions seeing temperatures from the 70s closer to the coast, to the 80s and low 90s inland. The exception will be along the immediate coast, where temperatures may struggle to get out of the 60s. Breezy north winds are expected to continue through Thursday morning with gusts up to 20 to 30 mph across the valleys, and up to 45 to 55 mph in the higher elevations.
There will be an increased potential for heat related illnesses across the Bay Area and Central Coast as we warm this week. The warmest days appear to be Thursday and Friday. Be sure to remain hydrated, take frequent breaks in the shade if outdoors, and NEVER leave children or pets in vehicles unattended.
