The GS-15 salary range starts at $137,849 per year in the Washington, DC area

Specialized Experience: Experience and demonstrated skill in preparing for litigation and knowledge of and experience applying personnel law, the Privacy Act, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Federal procurement and appropriations law, and Government ethics rules.

Knowledge of the laws of the states comprising the National Capital Region, which include the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia as they relate to the conduct of
Government business to issue title opinions, to prepare deeds and other legal documents, to make decisions on tort claims, on environmental matters, on matters involving
interest in real property, and any other state law matter impacting agency operations.
Skill in oral and written communications.
Knowledge of decisions of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Civilian Board of Contract Appeals and Government Accountability Office. Skill in litigation and negotiation.
Knowledge of Federal ethics laws, regulations, policies and procedures, including the Hatch Act; skill in applying the federal confidential disclosure processes and procedures. Skill in applying knowledge of the Ethics in Government Act and the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch. Skill in conducting legal research, legal analysis and preparing legal opinions.
