Grandmother accused of leaving autistic grandson at Kansas rest stop, charged in third state

An Oklahoma grandmother accused of leaving her autistic grandson at Kansas rest stop, is now facing charges in a third state.

According to KVOE Radio, Janie Gill is now incarcerated at the Phelps County Jail in Rolla, Missouri for forgery and disturbing the peace.

She was previously jailed in Rogers County, Oklahoma.

Gill is accused of leaving her autistic grandson at a rest area in greenwood county last November.

Gill was charged with child endangerment and interference with law enforcement in Kansas.

She was later charged with child neglect in Rogers County, Oklahoma.

KVOE Radio is reporting Gill has not appeared in an Oklahoma court since May.

Her next court appearance in Phelps County, Mo., will be in January.

Once those proceedings have concluded, she will be back in court in Oklahoma and Kansas.
