Usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) continues to be an important tool in reducing transmission of COVID-19 and other respiratory infectious diseases for healthcare workers. With the end of the federally declared Public Health Emergency, and as the PPE supply chain returns to normal, DHSS will shift to a stockpile cache sustainment strategy. As of June 30, 2023, DHSS will be closing its PPE request system for all non-state agency users. The State of Missouri plans to maintain a PPE cache for future public health emergencies and enhance overall healthcare preparedness.
