Presidential Election Dates
General Election - November 5, 2024, 7 am until 8 pm
- Early Voting for the General Election - Thursday, October 24, 2024, through Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 7 am until 8 pm.
Presidential Primary Results
The Maryland State Board of Elections will begin posting unofficial results at 8:00 p.m., after the close of all polls on May 14, 2024.

Primary Election Canvass
Canvass is May 16, 2024, thru May 24, 2024. Canvass started at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 16, and 9:00 am thereafter. All canvasses will be conducted at:

From Watkins Park Drive, turn into Gate 3 Keep straight until you come to a fork in the road, take a slight right and Pass Lot 2 (on the right), and continue straight down to Lot 3 (on the right).
Lot 3 is the parking lot in front of the Family Life Center which is on the left.
Please enter through the double doors on the side of the building where First Baptist Church of Glenarden FAMILY LIFE CENTER is displayed at the top of the building.

- Primary Ballot Drop Box Locations
Return your ballot by mail, or you can drop it off in person at a drop box location in Prince George’s County. Simply place your completed ballot in the return envelope, sign the oath on the envelope, seal the return envelope, and take it to a drop box in the county. Ballot drop boxes will be available for use beginning April 1, 2024. The drop boxes will remain available through 8 pm, Tuesday, May 14th. Please make sure your oath is signed on the return envelope or the ballot will not count. Ballot drop boxes are monitored and secured by trusted election officials.Ballots are retrieved from drop boxes daily by bipartisan election teams. The drop boxes are not the property of the United States Postal Service. If you have any questions, please contact your local election office.

Board Members
The Governor, by and with the consent of the Senate, appoints five persons who constitute the Board of Elections. The appointees are selected from lists furnished by the County Central Committee of the Democratic and Republican parties. The Board is responsible for the supervision of all County, State, and Federal Elections held in Prince George's County.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Prince George's County Board of Elections is to promote voter education, administer an efficient voting process, maintain an accurate voter registration database, and ensure that elected officials are elected in accordance with Federal, State, and County election laws.
Responsibilities
The Board of Elections is responsible for the supervision of elections, voter registration and record keeping, and the administration of election laws in Prince George's County, in accordance with The Election Law Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland. The Board and the Election Administrator seek to provide voter registration to every County citizen who wants it.
