As the Director of the Division of Practice Improvement you will be responsible for supervising a professional staff focused on practice transformation and improvement to build the evidence base on how to improve care delivery with the ultimate goal of improving health outcomes.Your major duties and responsibilities may include:

To qualify for this position, you much have:
You must have a Bachelor's or graduate degree with major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position being advertised. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. A copy of your unofficial transcript that verifies that you have earned a degree that meets the education requirement is required by the closing date of the announcement. In order to qualify for this GS-15 position, your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have one full year of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-14 level in the federal service.
Examples of qualifying experience include the following types of tasks performed on a regular and recurring basis: Formulating and developing program plans, strategies, objectives and priorities for direct impact and effect on the organizational goals and policies relating to the delivery of clinical care and practice improvement; planning, directing, and overseeing practice improvement program evaluations to determine program effectiveness, efficiency and best practices for the delivery of clinical care; assessing and overseeing the dissemination of information on evidence-based practices, along with service delivery models, promoting expansion or replication of evidence-based practices in primary and/or ambulatory care.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social).
