LC fine arts center used for jury selection

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) -Jury selection for a man accused of aggravated assault was held at a Laredo College Auditorium.

As part of the continuous efforts to adhere to the COVID-19 health and safety regulations, Webb County and Laredo College have partnered up to allow for jury selection to take place at the LC Guadalupe and Lilia Martinez Fine Arts Center Theater.

After 14 months without a jury trial, the first jury selection was held two weeks ago at the college.

Yesterday, District Court Judge Joe Lopez Presided over another jury panel in the criminal case of the State of Texas vs Ricardo Jimenez.

Assistant District Attorney Joaquin Rodriguez and Public Defender Fred Treviño and their respective teams lead the process and selected twelve jurors and one alternate.
