Pick your path

The Lathkill Loop, 11 Miles:

Will it be the shorter-but-challenging Lathkill Loop, which dives into the steep-sided gulley of the Lathkill Reserve and along the babbling River Bradford before cutting across the rolling fields back towards Monyash?

The Tissington Loop, 21 Miles:

Maybe you'll choose the Tissington Loop, which passes through the beautiful village of Middleton, and along the old railway lines that criss-cross the Peak District, reminding you of its industrial history.

High Peak Loop, 26 Miles:

Or will you take on the ultimate challenge of the High Peak Loop: an ambitious marathon-distance trek that shows off the stunning scenery the Peak District has to offer, taking in the rolling farmland around the village of Biggin, the picturesque river Dove and the beautiful Peak District village of Hartington, before the final push back to Monyash.

What can you expect on the trek?

Starting at the crack of dawn, you'll trek over valleys, hamlets, woodland, lanes, dales and villages.

After an early morning team briefing, we'll gather together for the team photo and big countdown that will see you head out onto the course to start your adventure. All the paths follow the same first few miles, so no matter what path you pick, you'll all start together and get that feeling of camaraderie and excitement that comes with being a part of Team Marie Curie.

As you trek, depending on what path you chose, you'll follow coloured signs to guide you around the Peak District. You'll also have expert mountain guides accompanying you and checkpoints to reach along the way, so all you'll have to worry about is putting in the miles and taking in the scenery around you.

All the paths start and end at the same place: the community hall in the village of Monyash, in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales. When you’ve completed your trek challenge you’ll return here and be welcomed back with tea, homemade cake and soup and a well-deserved medal to commemorate your fantastic achievement.

Please note, standard terms and conditions still apply.

How the money you raise helps

£180 pays for someone with a terminal illness to attend the day therapy unit at the hospice.

£400 pays for someone to stay in a Marie Curie Hospice for 24 hours, so that they can receive the hands-on care they need in their final days.

£1,250 pays for a portable oxygen system that will relieve distressing symptoms, so a person doesn’t have to be confined to bed.

"I want to do the trek for my dad to make him proud. The date of the event is my grandmother's birthday who'salso passed, so it will be really special."
