Learn to Hunt and Shoot: Mourning Dove and Wingshooting Clinic
Join Iowa DNR and Backcountry Hunters and Anglers for a two part afternoon workshop full of dove hunting and wingshooting tips! Mourning Doves are some of the most difficult birds to bag, but this course is designed to allow new and experienced hunters to learn about doves and sharpen their shot gunning skills.
The series an in-person two hour course that will provide hands-on learning consisting of dove hunting knowledge and skill building session with instructors and a live- fire wingshooting clinic that will teach the basics. Participants will learn basic strategies for hunting dove such as proper equipment, where to hunt, safe shooting practices, and how to field dress, butcher and cook dove. The wingshooting course will provide lessons and range time for those looking to improve their shooting skills
