Provider Directory status update

On April 30, the Health Care Authority (HCA) notified you of changes we are making to ProviderOne supporting an improved experience for Apple Health (Medicaid) clients.

Please read the below status update for the Provider Directory project.

Status update

HCA is still developing the provider user manual which covers the changes you will need to make to your ProviderOne provider file. At the same time, system changes are being built and tested in ProviderOne. As soon as the system changes are finished and tested, we will provide the link to the user manual to assist Apple Health providers with these changes.

We anticipate sending the manual to providers in late June or early July 2021, and will send out another update at that time with links to all resource documents.

Background

On March 9, 2020, CMS released an interoperability rule which, in part, requires provider directory information to be made available to Apple Health clients. The interoperability rules are mandated and were put in place to benefit Apple Health clients and create better access to health care.

To help our clients and remain in compliance with the new interoperability requirements, HCA will be creating a new Provider Directory tool.
