The SAC is a subcommittee of the D.C. State Board of Education (The District’s only elected education agency). The student advisory committee is chaired by the SBOE’s student representatives, and serves to advise the work of the board.
We must review and provide opinion on every resolution before it is passed on the board. We can also choose to work on other projects such as surveys, townhalls, or anything relating to education in the district!
