Recommendation

A.                     Authorize participation in the Southern California Edison Charge Ready program and authorize the City Manager to sign the Participation Agreement;

 

B.                     Find the work performed under the Participation Agreement is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under CEQA Guideline Sections 15311 and 15304 and direct staff to file a Notice of Exemption;

 

C.                     Approve a budget appropriation amount of $50,000 from the General Fund Unassigned Balance for an Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment vendor to install 17 Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment charging ports as part of a “turn-key” package; and

 

D.                     Authorize staff to apply for $12,325 in incentives through the SCE Charge Ready Program and seek additional funding opportunities to reduce project costs.
