Join the Iowa County Struttin' Toms, an affiliate of the National Wild Turkey Federation for a seminar on turkey hunting! Participants will learn about the history, habitat, and hunting regulations related to turkey hunting in Iowa, become familiar with basic gear and hunting techniques and have an opportunity to pattern their shotguns on the range. 

The classroom session will be from 9am-11am, the optional shotgun patterning will be from 11am-12pm. Please bring your shotgun, chokes, and the shells you will be using to hunt turkeys, but leave them in your vehicles until the 11am range session. 

We will provide light trap loads to begin the patterning process, but fine tuning should be done with the shells you will hunt with. 

Youth under 16 must be joined by a participating adult. There is a $10 fee per participant.
