Summary/Background (Key Points):
Pursuant to P5011.5, the School Board shall approve any sole source contract or contract amendment relating to a sole source contract where the total contract value exceeds $200,000.
The Department of Instructional Services has a continuous requirement to provide practice PSAT, SAT exams, SAT School Day, and Advanced Placement exams for FCPS students to enhance student opportunity and college success.
To support the needs of FCPS' students and the Department of Instructional Services, a four-year (4) Sole Source contract 4400005796 was awarded to The College Board on June 26, 2015, with five (5) one-year renewal options. The contract will expire on May 31, 2024. A new sole source contract is in process and will be submitted to the School Board for approval prior to contract expiration.
This contract amendment is to incorporate the College Board’s College Readiness and Success Agreement which will allow FCPS students to take Advanced Placement (AP) exams this spring.
The value of this amendment is estimated at $3,828,338. The estimated total contract value is $38,665,950.
Recommendations
That the School Board (i) approve the amendment and (ii) authorize the Division Superintendent, or the Director of the Office of Procurement Services to execute, deliver, and administer the contract on behalf of the School Board.
