The Associated Tribes of Grand Teton

The land now known as Grand Teton National Park has historical, cultural, and spiritual meanings to many Native Americans. There are 24 associated tribes who have connections to the lands and resources throughout Grand Teton.

In the map above, locations indicate headquarters of present-day tribal governments, reservations, and trust lands after Native Americans were forcibly removed from their traditional lands. Traditional areas of association are often much broader, and tribal members live all over the United States and the world.
