Court in the Community/Warrant Forgiveness event set for April 1

Fort Worth Municipal Court is hosting a Court in the Community/Warrant Forgiveness event from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 1, at Greenbriar Community Center, 5200 Hemphill St.
Who's it for: Anyone who has outstanding citations with the Fort Worth Municipal Court is invited to appear at a municipal court location or Court in the Community event, without fear of arrest for their cases. Attendees can resolve their outstanding cases and may be eligible for alternatives such as community service or a reduction in their fine based on ability to pay.
Fifty reserved spots and 70 walk-in spots are available. To register or for more information, call 817-392-6700.

Community partners offering additional services
The City of Fort Worth EnVision Center and Community Action Partners will also be onsite to help with rent, past-due rent, utilities and past-due utility payments. To learn more about the EnVision Center and related services, contact Suzanne Richards by email or at 817-392-2591.
Goodwill North Central Texas will be available with employment opportunities, job placement services, one-on-one career counseling and job readiness skills training, including resume writing, interviewing skills and job search techniques. Legal Aid of Northwest Texas will provide free legal consultations.
Court in the Community FAQ
Q: Is this only for Fort Worth citations?
A: Yes, for any Class C criminal case filed with the Court such as traffic violations, ordinance violations and penal code violations through the issuance of a citation.
Q: What is Safe Harbor?
A: Fort Worth is a Safe Harbor Court, meaning residents can always visit a Fort Worth Municipal Court location without fear of arrest for outstanding warrants issued by the Fort Worth Municipal Court.
