Experience a 3.4 mile paved loop trail around the outskirts of Maidu Regional Park or enjoy a smaller loop trail inside the park. This park has it all including the Maidu Community Center, which serves all ages from preschool to senior citizens, the Maidu Library, sports courts, ball fields, picnic areas, children’s playgrounds, a skate park, and the Maidu Museum & Historic Site. Be sure to visit the Korean War Memorial and Rose Garden if you have time or test your fitness ability at the Outdoor Fitness Court.
This trail segment will soon connect and be a part of the Dry Creek Greenway East trail currently being constructed. The expanded trail will take trail users west to Downtown Roseville and Royer Park and connect with the Miner’s Ravine Trail which goes to all the way to Sierra College Boulevard. Trail users heading east will be able to travel to Rocky Ridge Drive.
This 2.9-mile trail runs from Springview Drive in Rocklin to Galleria Boulevard in Roseville. It is lightly traveled and perfect for walkers, dogs, bikes, kids, and families. The trail goes under Highway 65 and East Roseville Parkway which is a cool experience. The beautiful Antelope Creek runs alongside the trail on the west side. A private archery range exists near the Harding Drive terminus.
Discover this 8.8-mile out-and-back trail that got its name, Miners Ravine, from gold mining activities just after the 1849 Gold Rush. Generally considered an easy route, this is a very popular area for hiking, mountain biking, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is beautiful to visit anytime. Follow the signs to the Maidu Grinding Rock and learn how the Native American used these large stones in their everyday lives, stop at Sculpture Park to see the art installation Cosmos, and look for signs explaining the remnants of the Golden Gate Bridge over creek crossings.
Lots of oak trees and other trees line this trail so you could almost feel like you were away from the city. This trail is a solid choice for a pleasant walk or bike ride, with the path winding through riparian habitat adjacent to creeks.
Starting at Veteran’s Memorial Park, this trail heads south at Blue Oaks Boulevard. The south branch meanders along the stream, connecting to Baquera Park as well as to Blue Oaks Elementary and Blue Oaks Park. The trail ends just south of the Cedar Springs Court access point. You’ll often find turkeys wandering these parts as well as birds, squirrels, and deer. See if you can find the “kindness rock” garden along the trail. In addition to its natural beauty and accessibility, the Pleasant Grove Creek Trail is also a popular destination for fitness enthusiasts.

Pleasant Grove Creek Trail takes users through a suburban and scenic trip in west Roseville. Multiple entry points along this route allow users to tailor a ride or walk to suit their needs. You can travel to multiple parks, a dog park, tennis courts, ballfields, shopping areas or simply enjoy the natural setting. Depending on the timing of the season, you can find blooming wildflowers, pistachios harvesting on trees, and egrets along the running creek.
Along the southern portion of Mahany Park, you’ll find a trail that meanders through Mahany Park Nature Preserve. This trail with its interpretive signs is used by schools for educational programs. This trail is popular with runners, cyclists, and families out walking the dog. You can take the trail to reach the Roseville Aquatics Complex, Riley Library, Utility Exploration Center, playgrounds, ballfields, Mahany Fitness Center, Roseville Transit stops, all weather field, and dog park.
Enjoy this new natural trail for a scenic, relaxing experience. There is plenty of shade and it’s a great area to take photos. Stay on the marked pathway as not to disturb the sensitive habitats like the wetlands, seasonal streams, and vernal pools, home to many plants and animals like the endangered fairy shrimp.
