Together As One –
We Can Be The Difference.

Empowering inclusion and fostering economic success are critical components in creating a vibrant and sustainable economy. One effective way to achieve this is through the sharing of success stories from diverse communities. These narratives not only celebrate individual achievements but also highlight the broader impact of minority businesses on local and national economies. By showcasing these stories, we can inspire aspiring entrepreneurs from underrepresented backgrounds, demonstrating that success is attainable regardless of their starting point.

Luis Spinola
Azteca-Omega Group

Luis shares lived wisdom as a successful business owner for over 40 years, where his celebratory tagline is “performing beyond expectations.”
“I began the business in 1983, and we started from ground zero. Two or three years later, I was able to find a large contractor who gave us an
opportunity to grow. Over the years, I have been blessed to have large companies who believed in what we were doing. We always did what we
said we were going to do. We always delivered. Then I began to see what happens when you give others a hand. I was able to work with other
minority professionals and see the benefits of joint ventures to me and them. READ MORE.

Supply Chain Professionals Unlocking Business Potential

Buying Entities who have invested their time and resources in diversifying their supply chain in innovative ways for impactful results have shared their best practices over the years as part of DFW MSDC’s annual BUY THOSE THAT BUY USTM White Paper.

Vistra Corp - In response to the 1% Plus Initiative and Utilization of New MBEs

In 2023, Vistra not only expanded their MBE inclusion but also contributed to the development of a couple of MBEs in non-traditional areas. Senior Vice President -Supply Chain, Phil Seidler, took a hands-on approach and served as a mentor, providing guidance and support to help the MBE understand how to access corporate supply chain channels. This exemplifies Vistra’s belief that utilization needs to go beyond mere transactional interactions, extending into the realm of cultivating enduring partnerships and mentorship.

Read more about Vistra best practice and find additional recognized Best Practices in the 2024 BTTBUTM White Paper.
