Online Event: Future Directions of the Export-Import Bank of the United States

July 31, 2020 • 10:00 – 10:45 am EDT

Please join the CSIS Project on Prosperity and Development (PPD) for a virtual conversation with Kimberly Reed, President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM). Chairman Reed was confirmed in May of 2019, and in a little over a year, has made a significant impact at EXIM including new reforms, the largest deal in EXIM history, and the longest reauthorization in its history, to name a few. During this event, Chairman Reed will discuss how EXIM is leveraging its new authorization to meet the demands of the Covid-19 pandemic. She will also speak about long-term challenges, including rising tensions between China and the United States, and the growing role of foreign export credit agencies in global development.

The discussion will be moderated by CSIS senior vice president and PPD director, Daniel F. Runde. Virtual audience members are encouraged to submit questions for Chairman Reed by clicking the green “Ask Live Questions Here” button above.

This event is made possible by general contributions to CSIS.
