As a Supervisory Interdisciplinary Architect/Engineer you will oversee the execution of the various PBS design and construction and space planning and interior design programs and projects that fall within branch level responsibility.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $120,043 per year.

This position is interdisciplinary, which means the duties and responsibilities closely relate to more than one professional occupation. This position may be filled in one of the following occupations: General Engineer, GS-0801, or Architect, GS-0808.

To qualify, you must meet the Basic Educational requirements stated above AND must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as supervisory or lead, as well as project management experience for the design and construction of large, complex project(s) where the individual has coordinated the activities of architects, engineers, tenant agencies and construction contractors. Experience should also include directing all or large phases of a project including planning, pre-design, Architect/Engineer selection, site selection, construction and construction management, and all design efforts, reviewing operations to evaluate progress and compliance with design requirements. This experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Skill in program and project management. Knowledge of the architectural and engineering disciplines related to the design and construction process. Able to lead and influence people to understand and adhere to policies and programs.
Ability to network both regionally and nationally to learn and share best practices that will enhance regional programs or influence National programs.
Knowledge and demonstrated ability to prepare technical analyses, pre and post negotiation memos, negotiate within government schedule and financial constraints, and monitor and manage contractor effectiveness and contract compliance.
