CHCO Blog - Peace of Mind

Release Date: May 26, 2021

I’ve found peace of mind is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. Avoiding the drama and chaos and over-stimulation is certainly key to finding that inner peace. And, sometimes that also means we must separate ourselves from situations and people who choose to live in a state of continuous anxiety or turmoil. I know saying avoid drama and separate from those who thrive in it, sounds too simple of an answer. But, I do believe it is our over-complication of the matter that actually fuels our uneasiness, and that we do have the ability to control most aspects of our inner-self and well-being.

Sometimes it’s as simple as saying to yourself—this I can control, and this I cannot—and then be honest and discerning with yourself and put the issues and dilemmas you face in their appropriate bucket and deal only with those you can control. You have incredible power within you, recognize it, rather than looking outside of yourself for the answer. You’ve always known the answer to many of decisions…you just need to sit quietly for a few minutes and ask yourself those very important questions, and then listen to the answer that comes from your heart. That is when you will find your peace of mind.
