A cold front will bring winter weather conditions to areas above 5000 feet this afternoon through Friday afternoon. Snow levels will start at 6000 to 6500 feet this afternoon into this evening but will lower to 5000 feet late tonight into Friday afternoon. Snow accumulations will be highest over elevated terrain in backcountry areas. Areas impacted include Crater Lake, Diamond Lake, Willamette Pass, and the Warner Mountains. Residual warmth on roadways may limit accumulation, but wet roadways and low visibility under falling snow can still create hazardous travel conditions.
