What is the NOLA Ready Volunteer Corps?
The NOLA Ready Volunteer Corps (NRVC) is a community-driven initiative designed to harness the power of volunteers in support of disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts within the city of New Orleans. Managed by and anchored within the framework of New Orleans Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the Volunteer Corps serves as a critical component of the city's resilience strategy, mobilizing a diverse pool of individuals to bolster community resilience and readiness in the face of emergencies.
At its core, the NOLA Ready Volunteer Corps is committed to fostering a culture of civic engagement and service, empowering residents to play an active role in safeguarding their neighborhoods and supporting their fellow community members during times of crisis.
