Cook County has launched a new partnership with Summer to help residents find meaningful relief from their student loan debt. Summer is a student loan optimization tool that allows borrowers to check their eligibility for lower monthly payments, offers recommendations of Federal, State, and career-based savings and forgiveness programs, and guides borrowers through the enrollment process from start to submission.

Join us for this town hall with Summer, the Student Borrower Protection Center, and Women Employed to answer questions about student loan debt and hear from our panelists. The town hall will be broadcast live at faceboook.com/PresidentPreckwinkle.

Visit meetsummer.org/il to find out more information and sign up to get started. The services are provided for free for residents of Cook County and are being offered to:

● residents with federal and/or private student loan debt,

● student loan borrowers who have been financially impacted by COVID-19,

● public service and nonprofit employees seeking forgiveness.
