Help Musicians: Music-led Creative Collaboration

Applicants must be from professional musicians over 18. The fund is to support musicians collaborating with lighting designers, choreographers & visual artists to help make music even more powerful.

They want to provide financial support to help develop new ideas and create a collaborative end-product with music at its heart. As an individual the applicant may be an instrumentalist, composer, producer, conductor, vocalist, or singer-songwriter etc. Bands or ensembles comprising six members or fewer are also eligible.

Eligible costs and activities include:

  • Venue and rehearsal space
  • Recording costs (live or documentation – but not studio recording)
  • Travel
  • Access
  • Accommodation
  • Fees for musicians, artists or collaborators’ time to allow for collaboration to happen
  • Any other reasonable costs associated with creative collaboration

The HMUK (Help Musicians UK) is a charity providing help, support & opportunities to musicians at all stages of their lives.

Focus of fund/fund aims:

Grants of up to £5,000 are available to professional musicians in the UK in order to make collaborations with other UK-based non-musician artists.
