FEMA National Integration Center, in partnership with the FEMA Integrated Public Alert and Warning Office (IPAWS) and the National Weather Service (NWS) are excited to announce the third session of the Alert and Warning Community of Practice Webinar Series. This webinar series continues the peer-to-peer learning, the social science insights, and the technical discussions initiated through the When Minutes Matter Technical Assistance (TA) deliveries. The webinar's agenda includes:
- Vance Taylor, California Governor's Office of Emergency Services, will discuss California's accessibility initiatives for emergency management.
- Nick Narine, New York City Office of Emergency Management, will describe WEA Wednesday, a program to increase emergency manager preparedness to send alerts and warnings.
- A representative from FEMA IPAWS Technical Support Services, will discuss recent IPAWS WEA developments and advances.
