Overview

During the Webinar, the Director of the National Institute for Occupational Health & Safety (NIOSH), Division of Compensation Analysis & Support (DCAS) will give a presentation on the dose reconstruction process and provide updates on the NIOSH Cybersecurity Modernization Initiative.

This webinar is an opportunity to hear from the Director of the NIOSH DCAS Program, the agency responsible for performing radiation dose reconstructions for the Energy Program. During the webinar, he will present information on how dose reconstructions are processed, the timeframe of the dose reconstruction process and provide updates on the NIOSH Cybersecurity Modernization Initiative. The webinar will conclude with answers to your questions. You can submit questions during the webinar or in advance at DEEOIC-Outreach@dol.gov.

The Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act provides lump-sum compensation and medical benefits to current and former nuclear weapons workers whose illness is a result of working in the nuclear weapons industry. Survivors of qualified workers may also be entitled to benefits. Covered illnesses include radiation-induced cancer, chronic beryllium disease, beryllium sensitivity, chronic silicosis, or any illness due to exposure to toxic substances.
