Conference to discuss fair housing, civil rights

The 2022 Fort Worth Fair Housing and Civil Rights Conference will feature two training tracks: community participation, and fair housing and civil rights participation.

The conference will be Nov 14-15 at the Radisson Hotel-North at Fossil Creek, 2540 Meacham Blvd. Nov. 14 features a full day of workshops with a complimentary lunch, and Nov. 15 includes a half day of workshops.

Workshop topics include:

  • Fair housing. Compliance; emerging issues; fair housing investigations.
  • ADA and access. Know your rights; reasonable accommodations and modifications; interactive process.
  • City services. Emergency services for people with disabilities; Community Action Partners.
  • Other. Mortgage lending in today’s market; affordable housing; challenges facing immigrant populations.

There is no cost to participate, but registration is required and a limited number of seats remain.
