Training

The Early Learning Assessment (ELA) Essentials Training is for new users who have not previously completed an ELA training. It is required for early care and education professionals who will be observing, assessing, and scoring the ELA. There are no more ELA Essentials Training sessions scheduled for this school year.

Starting in summer 2024, the ELA Essentials Training will move to a fully online, self-paced format! This change will allow early care and education professionals to complete the training at a time that is convenient for them. More information coming soon!

Please send questions about ELA training to ELAHelp@education.ohio.gov.
