City Council preview for Feb. 14

The Fort Worth City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 200 Texas St.

Tuesday’s agenda will include items that were on the agenda for Jan. 31. That meeting was canceled when roads became icy and dangerous.

  • City Council is scheduled to consider a registration ordinance for legal short-term rentals in Fort Worth.
  • The Council will vote on approving the master plan for the Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
  • Councilmembers will vote on a contract allowing UpSpire and Goodwill employees to work as shelter technicians at City animal shelters.
  • Members will vote on adopting a new master plan for Meacham Airport.
  • Councilmembers will vote on a resolution naming members of the steering committee for the One Second Collaborative to Prevent Youth Gun Violence.
  • Members will also vote on a resolution appointing a task force to study future uses of a City-owned building in the Cultural District at 1300 Gendy St.
  • The Council will vote on accepting a $110,460 grant from the Marilyn Brachman Hoffman Foundation to plant 56 trees at four parks.
  • An ordinance will call for a May 6 election for mayor and all council seats.
  • Members will vote on revised boat ramp use fees at Arrow S Park and Casino Beach Park.
  • There are 28 zoning cases on the agenda.
  • Presentations will honor Fort Worth Sister Cities International Youth Ambassadors and Heart Health Month.
