Please join the Region 2 National Preparedness Division for a panel discussion on disability etiquette, awareness, sensitivity and terminology.
This webinar will explore and address disability etiquette, awareness, sensitivity, and terminology issues and best practices. We have identified a strong need for a dialogue on these topics based on requests from our nationwide audience, which includes emergency managers, first responders, public health officials, disability related organizations, and social service organizations, as well as other stakeholders. The webinar will feature a great panel of subject matter experts including June Kailes, internationally recognized Disability Policy Consultant, Therése Brzezinski, Director of Planning and Public Policy L.I. Center for Independent Living and Joe Zesski from the Northeast ADA Center.

FEMA works to ensure equitable access for all to any services and programs that are provided by the agency. If you need a reasonable accommodation, please make your request in an email to fema-r2-prepares@fema.dhs.gov. Last minute requests will be accepted, but may not be possible to fulfill.
