Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in Oregon

Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funding is channeled through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP). IRA funding through both programs must target greenhouse gas emissions and carbon sequestration.

IRA conservation funding is in addition to otherwise available program funds, and the voluntary, incentive-based approach is targeted to support climate-smart mitigation activities and other conservation activities that help facilitate them.

EQIP - IRA is a voluntary, technical, and financial assistance program designed to help farmers, ranchers, forestland owners, and Tribes with the application of conservation measures that focus on carbon sequestration, greenhouse gas emissions, reduced energy, and soil health. The program focuses strongly on conservation planning, conservation implementation, and solving natural resource concerns related to climate change.

CSP - IRA is a voluntary, technical, and financial assistance program designed to help farmers, ranchers, forestland owners, and Tribes with moving their operation to the next level of conservation. CSP-IRA will focus on carbon sequestration, greenhouse gas emissions, reduced energy, and soil health. The program focuses on increasing conservation implementation and solving natural resource concerns related to climate change.
