Resources from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children

Since 1984, NCMEC has served as the official national clearinghouse and resource center for families, victims, private organizations, law enforcement and the public on issues relating to missing and sexually exploited children. NCMEC offers various services for missing and sexually exploited children, as well as their families. The National Center also operates the National Hotline and the CyberTipline. All of our services and resources are free of charge; our main purpose is to encourage child safety in communities across the country. (For more information, please feel free to visit: MissingKids.)

NCMEC has also created free high quality prevention programs, NetSmartz and KidSmartz, to encourage family and community engagement to help keep kids safe. We work with schools, school districts and states across the country, including in Oregon, to help incorporate internet and personal safety prevention education into the school curriculum.
