We asked about your council home and your local place
We know that being a tenant or leaseholder means more than just bricks and mortar – it’s also about the place you live. So we asked tenants and leaseholders what it’s really like to live in your local community. We asked what’s good about being a tenant or leaseholder now, what improvements you would like to see and how you want to be involved in the future.

What happens next?
Based on what tenants and leaseholders told us, Kirklees Council’s Cabinet have decided to bring Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing (KNH) together with wider Kirklees Council services.
We are also exploring new and improved ways of listening to and involving tenants and leaseholders. This includes ways of hearing from younger tenants, those from different communities and places, children of tenants and young families.
We’ll use what we learned to work with tenants and leaseholders, local councillors, local residents and partner organisations to improve our local places.
