Join us for the September 2020 support planning professionals learning community (SPPLC), a monthly series related to person-centeredness. Each session has a different topic and guest speakers. This month’s topics are:

  • Regional Quality Councils: Improving the quality, services and supports for people with disabilities
  • Housing Stabilization Services assessment and planning

Regional Quality Councils: Improving the quality, services and supports for people with disabilities

Join Kerri Leucuta, Angie Guenther and Lori Moench, Regional Quality Council managers from the ARC Northland, to hear a brief history of the Regional Quality Councils, person-centered quality review process and results and quality improvement work established from the reviews.

Housing Stabilization Services assessment and planning

Join Bekah Kaufenberg-Satre and Jensina Rosen from the DHS Housing and Support Services Division for a brief overview of the new state plan Housing Stabilization Services benefit. We’ll also review the role of MnCHOICES assessors and waiver case managers to support people’s access to the benefit. We will reserve time at the end of the presentation for your questions.

SPPLC overview

Each month, we aim to provide the most recent person-centered updates and initiatives. Our meetings include policy leads from DHS’:

  • Aging and Adult Services Division
  • Behavioral Health Division
  • Disability Services Division.

Target audience

This webinar is for Minnesota’s support planning professionals in all fields, including, but not limited to:

  • Care coordinators
  • Case managers
  • Certified assessors
  • Person-centered planners
  • Relocation services staff
  • Support planners
  • Managers and supervisors of the above.

You must have a unique key to register and receive credit for training.

Steps

  • Go to TrainLink
  • Select Disability Services Learning Center
  • Select Sign On in the upper right hand corner
  • Enter your unique key
  • Select Upcoming Classes/Class Registration
  • Select All DSD Classes
  • Search ‘Support planning professionals’
  • Locate the session
  • Select the class
  • Select Enroll in this class and follow the registration instructions.

You will find the WebEx link and phone number in the “Delivery Method/Handouts” link when you register for the session.
