Description

Join DHS to learn how adult day service (ADS) providers can become day support service (DSS) providers. In this session, we will discuss:

  • ADS and DSS definitions and descriptions
  • ADS tiered eligibility criteria standards
  • How ADS providers can become DSS providers
  • How ADS providers can become providers of other services.

You will have an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation.

Learning objectives

After this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the differences between ADS and DSS
  • Recall the ADS tiered eligibility criteria standards
  • Take steps to become a DSS and other services provider.

  • Day service providers with an interest in:
  • ADS
  • Day training and habilitation (DT&H) services
  • Structured day services
  • Prevocational services
  • Developing DSS
  • People who receive day services, prevocational services and/or employment services
  • Lead agencies
  • Advocacy organizations
  • Stakeholders interested in DSS

Steps

  • Go to TrainLink
  • Select ‘Disability Services (formerly Continuing Care)’ Learning Center
  • Select ‘Sign On’ in the upper right hand corner
  • Enter your unique key
  • Select ‘Upcoming classes/Class registration’
  • Select ‘All DSD Classes’
  • Search ‘Waiver Reimagine’
  • Select the session
  • Select ‘Enroll in this class’ and follow the registration instructions.
